(a) Security Programs. None can guarantee that data transmission
over the Internet will be 100% secure. Nevertheless, Enwisen, along with the
Enwisen Alliance Partners that host any Product features, have implemented
effective security programs to minimize the risk of unauthorized access to
Customer Information and other Personally Identifiable Information. These data
protection programs are built around a pervasive, multi-layer security model
that includes the following:
-
Strong Network Perimeter Defenses
-
State of the art firewall and access control technology via router and VPN
(Virtual Private Network) provide a strong perimeter network around each data
center that hosts any Product features.
-
Multi-layer firewall architecture protects against external threats and
inadvertent cross-customer communication over a network backbone.
-
Multiple authentication mechanisms throughout the network protect against
unauthorized use of the network and ensure that authorized Users communicate
with secure servers in the host facility.
-
Aggressive Real-Time Monitoring
-
Enwisen Alliance Partners that operate the data centers that host Product
features provide automated 24x7 real-time monitoring and detection of internal
and external attacks directed against networking and computing
environments.
-
These data centers monitor for potential breaches by auditing and logging on
the systems in the data centers and reviewing detailed information with respect
teach access attempt.
-
Security Enabled at the Host and Application Levels
-
Secure Socket Layer Technology (SSL):
-
SSL technology is the leading security protocol for data transfer on the
Internet.
-
SSL technology scrambles (or encrypts) your information as it moves between a
User's computer's browser and other computer systems. When information is
encrypted in this way it becomes nearly impossible for anyone other than the
host computer system tread it.
-
While on a secure page, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers, such as
Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer, becomes locked, as opposed
to un-locked, or open, when Users are just browsing the Web.
-
SSL Encryption by Enwisen:
-
Enwisen stores all Customer Information and other Personally Identifiable
Information on servers using commercially available encryption technology for
security. Enwisen uses a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) server for certain Product
features. Sessions secured by SSL technology help protect the safety and
confidentiality of the Customer Information and other Personally Identifiable
Information Users provide to us.
-
Each time a User enters his or her User ID and password, the User's browser
will encrypt the User ID and password before sending it tour server. Enwisen
also uses SSL technology to protect other Customer Information and other
Personally Identifiable Information Users provide to us online when Users use
an information confirmation form. Each User's browser will encrypt any such
Customer Information and other Personally Identifiable Information before
sending it tour server, which is stored offsite in a secured data center as
well as on servers at Enwisen.
-
Encryption by Third Party Web Sites:
-
When any User accesses any Third Party Web site through Enwisen Products, any
information that the User may provide to that Third Party will be subject only
to the terms and conditions of service and the privacy and security policies of
that Third Party. Each User should review the terms and conditions of service
and the privacy and security policies of such Third Parties before he or she
uses their Web sites and provides any Customer Information and other Personally
Identifiable Information to that Web Site.
-
Continuous Vulnerability Management
-
Enwisen proactively and continuously improves its security posture. Enwisen and
our hosted data centers perform periodic vulnerability analysis utilizing
Network & System Scanning tools. Enwisen and our hosted data centers also
perform security posture assessments at random intervals.
-
Physical and Operational Security
-
The data centers that host Product features provide state of the art fire
suppression, motion detectors, event monitoring, high availability technology,
and resumption planning processes. Locks at our co-location spaces and security
alarms allow Enwisen to maintain "data centers within data centers." Enwisen
and the data centers that host product features disable all unnecessary
services on operating systems in order to alleviate the risk of potential
abuse. For incident handling and response, Enwisen has proper escalations and
steps in place to address any incidents that might occur.
-
Proven Security and Management Practices
-
Enwisen's security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines are the
cornerstone around which we have developed the Enwisen security program. We
have put in place security policy checklists, security processes, and controls
to ensure ongoing improvements tour security practices.
-

password, including, without limitation, all related Customer Information and
other Personally Identifiable Information. Each User agrees to immediately
notify Enwisen of any unauthorized use of his or her User ID or password or of
his or her Customer Information and other Personally Identifiable Information
or any other breach of security regarding the Products or his or her Customer
Information and other Personally Identifiable Information. ENWISEN WILL NOT BE
LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS WHATSOEVER ARISING FROM A USER'S FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH
THESE SECURITY REQUIREMENTS AND EACH USER AGREES TO HOLD ENWISEN HARMLESS FROM
ANY AND ALL LOSSES THAT ARISE FROM THAT FAILURE TO COMPLY.
If any User forgets his or her password, we will first verify the User's
identity and then e-mail his or her password to the e-mail address that is
included in the User's registration information. If a User forgets his or her
User ID, a customer support representative will first verify the User's
identity, and will then assist the User with verifying his or her old User ID,
selecting a new one, if necessary, and then e-mailing the User ID to the e-mail
address that is included in the User's registration information.
